Summer is here

I find that summer is here in Maine and I am sitting here enjoying the fan blowing. It is hot outside but it is wonderful hearing the birds sing and seeing the sunshine. I love seeing all the kids playing outside and enjoying themselves. I know it is hard to get things done because all you want to do is lay around and enjoy the day. You need to enjoy the good days of summer so the rainy days are easier to bear and enjoy looking forward to the sun. I love seeing rainbows after the rain stops and I wonder is there really gold at the end of the rainbow with a leprechaun.
I am a bit sore still but I do not let my pain get the best of me because I know if I keep my mind busy I won't feel it. I started writing letters to pen pals in order to break out of my shell and be able to learn how to meet people from different walks of life. I think writing letters has become such a lost art because so many people tend to  use emails, texts and twits now. If things keep going his way the older generation will get lonely and our children will forget how to write letters by hand. I also feel that poor postmen and women will be out of a job and that will be so sad. We need to start writing to each other so we can put the emotions back in our words and so people will stop being lonely. I know I feel more important when I get a letter from someone far away. I puts a smile on my face because someone cared enough to take time to write by hand. I started a pen pal friendship group on facebook and have joined a few groups where people love SNAIL MAIL. Please take the time to write someone a letter to put a smile on their face. It only takes a few moments of time in order to put a smile on someones face.
